About the DYCC
The Dareton Youth and Community Centre (DYCC) has been devoted to walking with underprivileged Aboriginal Australian Youth through various supportive initiatives since 2016.
Started by the Local Church of Christ and Uniting Church, the centre has been managed by Ilker Deli for 9 years, with support primarily from the Dareton & Wentworth Churches, as well as support from Gospel Resource Ltd and other Churches nationally through Global Mission Partners (GMP).
The centre has had a clear and profound effect on the community of Dareton over these years, as it shows the Love of Christ through building community and offering spaces for growth and connection among our young people.

Our Vision
“To raise the next generation of leaders, both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, walking together in unity, building relationships that lead to long-lasting positive outcomes for the community.”

Partnerships & Future
We have been so blessed to have so many strong partnerships that have provided support throughout the 9 years of operation. God's provision has always been in the ways we have needed it, when we have needed it.
Global Mission Partners has been and continues to be vitally important to our future planning and operations. We have been working closely with the GMP team as we have navigated incorporation, as well as seeking additional funding via Grants.
Looking towards the future, we are seeking to continue to strengthen our existing partnerships, as well as form new ones with other like-minded organisations that can advance our vision for a stronger future together.
DYCC Programs

After School Drop-in
Our after-school drop-in services provide a supportive environment, offering a range of activities that promote personal development, creativity, and social skills. We ensure every child feels valued and empowered, fostering a sense of belonging.

Friday Night Youth
Running during the school term, this is a structured program with different activities each week such as Games Nights or Cooking Nights.

Aboriginal Immersion Trips
Through our Partner GMP, we offer Aboriginal Immersion trips. The goal of these trips is to form meaningful connections with other likeminded organisations to gain a better understanding of Indigenous Culture, Past Traumas and helpful ways to walk alongside each other as we seek to form meaningful connections, walking together for positive long lasting change.

Acknowledgement of Country
Get to Know Us
We praise God for the wonderful lands and waterways he created, of which we get to live, work and pray on. We thank him for first entrusting their custodianship to the Barkindji People. We seek to walk alongside them with respect, partnering with and honouring their ongoing connection to lands, waters and communities.
